Drone Attack Targets Netanyahu’s Residence in Central Israel

Caesarea: Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s office confirmed on Saturday that a drone was launched toward his residence in Caesarea, coinciding with reports from the military of a drone from Lebanon hitting a structure in central Israel.

Netanyahu’s office stated, “A UAV (unmanned aerial vehicle) was launched toward the prime minister’s residence in Caesarea.

The prime minister and his wife were not at the location, and there were no injuries in the incident.”

It remains unclear whether the structure reported hit by the military was Netanyahu’s private residence. The military reported that three drones were fired from Lebanon, intercepting two of them.

On the same day, a barrage of projectiles was fired from Lebanon into northern Israel, triggering sirens throughout the region.

Lebanese authorities reported that two people were killed in an Israeli strike in Jounieh, north of Beirut, marking the first strike in that area since clashes between Hezbollah and Israel began last year.

The Lebanese health ministry described the incident as an “Israeli enemy raid” that struck a car on a crucial highway linking Beirut to northern Lebanon.

Israel is currently engaged in a conflict with Hezbollah, an ally of Hamas, with ground troops having crossed the Lebanese border last month.
