Driver Jailed After Confession in Dr Wardah Murder Case

Abbottabad: An Anti-Terrorism Court on Monday ordered the accused driver in the Dr Wardah kidnapping and murder case to be sent to jail after he confessed to facilitating and assisting in the crime.

The accused, identified as Parvez, was produced before the special Anti-Terrorism Court upon completion of his six-day physical remand. During the proceedings, he sought permission to record a confession.

Following court directions, Parvez was presented before a judicial magistrate, where he confessed to his role in the kidnapping and murder of Dr Wardah. After recording the confession, the magistrate ordered that the accused be sent to jail on judicial remand.

Court Grants Interim Bail to Rajab Butt, Nadeem in Gambling App Promotion Case

A local court on Monday granted interim bail to YouTuber Rajab Butt and TikToker Nadeem Mubarak in a case related to the alleged promotion of a gambling application.

Both content creators appeared before Additional District and Sessions Judge Mansoor Ali Qureshi to seek bail. Their counsel argued that the accused were willing to join the investigation to prove their innocence and requested interim bail.

Accepting the plea, the court granted interim bail to Rajab Butt and Nadeem Mubarak until January 6 and directed both accused to join the investigation.

The National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) has registered cases against several social media influencers, including Butt and Mubarak, on charges of promoting and encouraging a gambling application.
