Rawalpindi: Provisional Health Advisor Major General (Rtd) Azhar Mehmood Kayani visited Holy Family Hospital (HFH) on Wednesday and expressed satisfaction with the hospital’s post-renovation functionality, noting that it is now fully equipped with modern facilities and providing high-standard treatment to patients.

Dr Kayani highlighted the government’s focus on ensuring the availability of free medicines in hospitals, stating that Punjab’s health reforms are a top priority for the government.

HFH Medical Superintendent Dr Ejaz Butt briefed Azhar Mehmood on on the hospital’s treatment protocols and ongoing challenges. He toured various departments of the hospital, including the emergency room, operating theatre, and outpatient department (OPD).

Azhar Mehmood personally enquired from patients about the quality of care they were receiving and reviewed several aspects of the hospital’s operations, including staff attendance, the supply of medicines, cleanliness, and other critical issues. He emphasised that the provision of free medicines to patients is a non-negotiable priority.
