Domestic Worker Tortured, Woman Shot Dead in Punjab

Punjab: A man allegedly shot his wife, and employers are accused of brutally torturing their worker, in separate incidents across Punjab province over the past 24 hours, according to media reports on Sunday.
In Lahore, a 12-year-old domestic worker was subjected to severe torture by her employers after failing to prepare a meal on time.
The girl, from Okara, had been working for the family for three years. The police have arrested the house owner and his son, and the child has been placed under the care of the Child Protection Bureau.
In Faisalabad, a man fatally shot his wife during a heated domestic argument. The incident has sparked public outrage and prompted a swift response from local authorities, who are actively pursuing the suspect.
Additionally, Punjab police have apprehended a murder suspect attempting to flee the country. The individual was intercepted at Lahore airport and handed over to authorities in Gujrat.
These tragic events highlight the urgent need for stricter laws and their enforcement to protect vulnerable members of society, particularly women and children.
