Islamabad: Senior actress Bushra Ansari has expressed her dissatisfaction with contemporary dramas, emphasizing that in the past, significant consideration was given to naming them, with final decisions made after careful deliberation.

In a viral video, Ansari discusses various aspects of plays, including their stories, characters, and titles.

Ansari highlights that in bygone eras, drama titles were intricately linked to their narratives, characters, and scenes. However, she laments a shift towards peculiar and disconnected titles in modern times. She criticizes the trend of assigning bizarre names to dramas, suggesting that some titles are so unusual that they warrant divine forgiveness.

The veteran actress specifically points out a common theme in modern drama titles, often revolving around women and relationships, citing examples such as “Kalmohi,” “Badnaseeb,” “Tanu and Me Talaq De Do,” “Muze Talaq Chaye,” “Muche Beta Chahe,” and “I have got a divorce.”

Despite her critique, Ansari acknowledges that discussing drama titles might seem outdated to some, but she asserts the importance of maintaining coherence and relevance between a drama’s title and its content.
