Discussion on Character Mastery Held at QAU

Islamabad: A pivotal roundtable discussion on “Character Mastery: The Key to Achieving Sustainable Success” was held on Thursday at Quaid-i-Azam University (QAU) Islamabad.
Organized by the Association of Private Sector Universities Pakistan (APSUP) in collaboration with QAU, the event gathered Vice Chancellors, Rectors, and senior representatives from 25 universities and organizations.
The session was chaired by QAU Vice Chancellor, Prof Dr Niaz Ahmad Akhtar, and featured Dr Sumaira Rehman, Rector of Superior University Lahore, as the keynote speaker.
Participants engaged in productive discussions, sharing valuable insights on the importance of character development in achieving sustainable success in higher education.
The recommendations from the roundtable will be presented at the upcoming 5th Rectors Conference, scheduled for November 27-28 in Islamabad. The initiative aims to strengthen collaboration among academic institutions and improve Pakistan’s educational landscape.
The discussion underscored the essential link between character mastery and academic success, urging universities to prioritize character education alongside academic excellence.
Participants called for collective efforts in promoting civic education and character building by instilling core values such as integrity, professionalism, honesty, and tolerance in students.
