Ingredients
Ingredients for Chicken Marination
- Chicken: 1 kg
- Black pepper (crushed): 1 tbsp
- Cumin seeds (crushed): ½ tbsp
- Salt: ½ tbsp
- White pepper powder: 1 tsp
- Lemon juice: 1 tbsp
Ingredients for Onion Paste
- Oil: 3 tbsp
- Onion (sliced): 1 cup
- Garlic (cloves): 3-4
- Green chilies (halved): 1-2
- Ginger pods: 1-2
- Yogurt: 1 ½ cup
Ingredients for White Chicken Karahi
- Oil: ½ cup
- Marinated chicken
- Prepared onion puree
- Cream: ½ cup
- Green chilies (sliced) as required
- Green coriander as required
Directions
- In a bowl, combine the chicken with black pepper, crushed cumin seeds, salt, white pepper powder, and lemon juice. Mix well and set aside.
- In a pan, heat oil and sauté the sliced onion, garlic, ginger, and green chilies until the onion softens.
- Transfer the mixture to a blender, add yogurt, and blend until smooth. Set aside.
- In a pot, heat oil and add the marinated chicken. Cook for 4-5 minutes.
- Add the onion puree to the pot, cover, and cook until the chicken is fully cooked.
- Stir in the cream and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes.
- Garnish with sliced green chilies and chopped green coriander before serving. Your White Chicken Karahi is ready to enjoy!
