Diplomatic Enclave Residents to Get Cycling Tracks

Islamabad: Capital Development Authority (CDA) Chairman Muhammad Ali Randhawa issued directives on Sunday for the establishment of cycling tracks within the diplomatic enclave.
These dedicated lanes are part of the Chairman’s vision to provide diplomats and foreign communities with an eco-friendly transportation option in the capital.
In a recent meeting, the Chairman outlined the project details, emphasizing the creation of cycling lanes across Islamabad.
Attendees included key stakeholders from various organizations such as Member Engineering, Railways, NESPAK, ADB, Islamabad Cycling Association, among others.

The Chairman underscored the importance of enhancing the city’s natural beauty while developing top-notch cycling tracks, aiming to not only benefit residents but also attract tourists. The cycling tracks, as per the Chairman’s directives, will be seamlessly integrated into picturesque landscaping, enhancing Islamabad’s overall aesthetic appeal.
“Our foremost priority is to foster a conducive environment for cycling in Islamabad,” said the Chairman, highlighting the commitment to promoting sustainable and healthy transportation methods and ensuring improved facilities for both residents and visitors.
He emphasized the necessity of adhering strictly to project timelines for timely completion. Muhammad Ali Randhawa emphasized that the Islamabad Bicycle Lane project will play a crucial role in enhancing the city’s foundational infrastructure and significantly contribute to its sustainable urban development.
