Diphtheria Outbreak in Dadu Claims Lives of 7 Children

Islamabad: A diphtheria outbreak in Dadu has resulted in the deaths of seven children this month, with 35 new cases reported in the last two days, according to a private news channel on Sunday.

The affected areas include Khairpur Nathan Shah, Mehar, and Johi, where numerous cases have emerged.

Local hospitals are facing critical shortages of test kits and essential treatment supplies, hindering efforts to effectively manage the outbreak.

Furthermore, several children in Union Council Tando Rahim remain infected, and health authorities have yet to implement adequate measures to address the situation.
