Dera Police Arrest Eight Outlaws, Seize 1,740g of Drugs

Dera Ismail Khan: Dera police successfully arrested eight criminals, including a proclaimed offender and drug peddlers, during a recent operation. The authorities recovered a total of 1,740 grams of illegal drugs, including 1,290 grams of heroin and 450 grams of ice, from their possession in the Cantt police station jurisdiction.
According to the police spokesman, operations against criminal elements in the district continue under the direction of District Police Officer (DPO) Dera, Nasir Mehmood. The crackdown is part of ongoing efforts to rid the area of criminal activity.
The operation, led by SDPO City Circle Muhammad Adnan, SHO Muhammad Sibatin Khan, and PASI Shahrukh, targeted drug dealers and other lawbreakers. Among the key arrests were:
- Shabbir, son of Muhammad Nawaz, resident of Basti Dirkhanwali, arrested with 275 grams of heroin.
- Shaukat Ali, son of Naushir, also from Dirkhanwali, arrested with 275 grams of heroin.
- Muhammad Imran, son of Sona Khan, from Basti Dirkhanwali, found with 275 grams of ice.
- Farhan, son of Muhammad Tariq, resident of Kachi Payand Khan, arrested with 270 grams of heroin.
- Ajab Khan, son of Sona, resident of Muriali, seized with 220 grams of heroin.
- Arshad Nawaz, son of Shah Nawaz, from Muriali, arrested with 220 grams of ice.
- Muhammad Osama, son of Muhammad Saleem Rajput, from Tariq Abad, found with 250 grams of heroin.
In a separate case, Muhammad Gul, son of Mirbat Bittani, a resident of Tank, was arrested for his involvement in an attempted murder case.
Separate cases have been registered against the accused, and investigations are underway. The police continue their efforts to ensure public safety and combat crime in the district.
