Dengue Larvae Recovered from 2,013 Locations in Lahore

Lahore: The Lahore district administration is actively working to eliminate dengue larvae, with reports indicating that larvae have been found in 2,013 locations throughout the city over the past 24 hours.
During inspections, 1,952 indoor sites and 61 outdoor locations were identified as having dengue larvae.
In total, 42,209 places were examined, resulting in 46 cases being registered for violations of standard operating procedures (SOPs). Surveillance teams also checked 414,614 containers for potential breeding sites.
Assistant Commissioner Shalimar, Anam Fatima, reviewed the dengue surveillance efforts in Union Councils 38 and 39. She emphasized the importance of checking rooftops as part of the ongoing response.
The Deputy Commissioner of Lahore has stated that administrative officers are closely monitoring the activities of dengue field workers and has urged residents to prevent water accumulation on roofs, in courtyards, and in air coolers.
