Dengue Crackdown: DHA Imposes Rs 317,000 in Fines, Files Three FIRs

Rawalpindi: The District Health Authority (DHA) took stringent action against violations of anti-dengue Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) in the past 24 hours, resulting in fines amounting to Rs 317,000 and the lodging of three FIRs.

The operation was launched in collaboration with various allied departments in Rawalpindi district on Friday.

Dr Sajjad Mehmood, the District Coordinator for Epidemics Prevention and Control (DCEPC), highlighted that in the same duration, four tickets were issued, and one premise was sealed due to non-compliance with the prescribed protocols.

Providing an update on the current situation, Dr Sajjad mentioned that 47 patients were receiving medical care in different district health facilities, out of which 32 cases were confirmed. Additionally, a total of 2,570 individuals have been successfully discharged after receiving treatment.

Furthermore, Dr Sajjad reported the identification of three new cases within the last 24 hours, resulting in a cumulative total of 2,604 confirmed cases in the district.
