Islamabad: If you’re in the mood for a delightful dessert, try making a Salted Caramel Tart that perfectly balances sweetness and saltiness with its rich caramel filling and buttery tart crust.
Ingredients for the Tart Base:

10 tbsp unsalted dairy butter

2/3 cup brown sugar

1 tsp vanilla essence

2 egg yolks

2 cups all-purpose flour

White beans (as required)
Ingredients for the Chocolate Ganache:

1 cup dark chocolate

½ pack dairy cream

2 tbsp unsalted dairy butter

¼ cup unsalted dairy butter

½ pack dairy cream
-
½ tsp salt
Ingredients for Assembling:

Prepared tart
-
Caramel sauce (as required)

Chocolate ganache (as required)

Salt (as required)
Directions:

In a bowl, combine the unsalted dairy butter, brown sugar, and vanilla essence, and beat well. Add the egg yolks and continue beating until mixed.

Gradually incorporate the all-purpose flour, mixing well with a spatula. Knead the mixture for about a minute to form a dough.

Transfer the dough to a floured kitchen board, flatten it with a rolling pin, and place it into a tart pan. Line it with butter paper and fill with white beans to maintain the tart’s shape during baking.

Bake in a preheated oven at 160 degrees Celsius for 15-20 minutes. Once done, remove from the oven, discard the beans and butter paper, and set aside to cool.

For the chocolate ganache, combine the dark chocolate and dairy cream in a bowl, microwaving for a minute. Stir until the chocolate melts completely.

In a saucepan, heat sugar and water until the sugar caramelizes. Add unsalted dairy butter, stirring well, followed by dairy cream and salt. Mix until smooth.
