Ingredients for Beef Nihari
- Oil: 1 cup
- Onion (sliced): 1 cup
- Beef (boneless): 1 kg
- Ginger garlic paste: 2 tbsp
- Nihari masala: 3 tbsp
- Kashmiri red chili powder: 1 tsp
- Salt: 1/2 tsp
- Water: 8-10 cups
- Beef nalli (marrow bones): 300 g
- Flour mixture (wheat flour 1/2 cup + all-purpose flour 1/2 cup + water 1 cup)
- Green chilies (sliced): as required
- Ginger (julienned): as required
- Green coriander (julienned): as required
Directions
In a pressure cooker, heat the oil and add the sliced onions. Cook until they are golden brown.
Add the beef and cook for 4-5 minutes. Then add the ginger garlic paste and cook for an additional minute.
Add the nihari masala, Kashmiri red chili powder, and salt. Cook for 2-3 minutes.
Pour in the water and add the beef nalli. Mix well and cover the pressure cooker.
Cook under pressure for 30-35 minutes.
In a separate pan, roast the wheat flour and all-purpose flour until fragrant. Transfer this mixture to a bowl and add water to make a smooth paste.
Add this flour mixture to the nihari and cook for 3-4 minutes to thicken the stew.
Dish out the nihari and garnish with green chilies, ginger, and green coriander.
Serve hot. Your Beef Nihari is ready to enjoy!
