  • Ginger garlic paste: 2 tbsp
  • Nihari masala: 3 tbsp
  • Kashmiri red chili powder: 1 tsp
  • Salt: 1/2 tsp
  • Water: 8-10 cups
  • Beef nalli (marrow bones): 300 g
  • Flour mixture (wheat flour 1/2 cup + all-purpose flour 1/2 cup + water 1 cup)
  • Green chilies (sliced): as required
  • Ginger (julienned): as required
  • Green coriander (julienned): as required

Directions

In a pressure cooker, heat the oil and add the sliced onions. Cook until they are golden brown.

Add the beef and cook for 4-5 minutes. Then add the ginger garlic paste and cook for an additional minute.

Add the nihari masala, Kashmiri red chili powder, and salt. Cook for 2-3 minutes.

Pour in the water and add the beef nalli. Mix well and cover the pressure cooker.

Cook under pressure for 30-35 minutes.

In a separate pan, roast the wheat flour and all-purpose flour until fragrant. Transfer this mixture to a bowl and add water to make a smooth paste.

Add this flour mixture to the nihari and cook for 3-4 minutes to thicken the stew.

Dish out the nihari and garnish with green chilies, ginger, and green coriander.

Serve hot. Your Beef Nihari is ready to enjoy!
