Rawalpindi: The City Traffic Police (CTP) Rawalpindi deployed 216 traffic wardens to manage traffic on Defence Day.

According to City Traffic Officer (CTO) Benish Fatima, the deployment included eight DSPs, 32 senior traffic wardens, and traffic assistants.

Traffic diversions were implemented around Mall Road and several key intersections due to Defence Day events at GHQ. Special attention was given to ensuring a smooth flow of traffic, especially in the Saddar area.

Citizens were encouraged to report suspicious activity to district and military police. The CTO emphasized that vehicles and motorcycles without number plates would face strict legal action, and emergency vehicles would be thoroughly inspected to prevent misuse.

Traffic updates were continuously shared with the public via the police’s official social media platforms and radio station 88.6.
