DC Oversees Market Rates, Ensures Subsidized Provision

Rawalpindi: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Rawalpindi, Dr Hassan Waqar Cheema, visited the Vegetable and Fruit Market in Rawat and the Sasta Model Bazaar in Chor Harpal on Tuesday to assess the rates of daily use items.
The DC also scrutinized the bidding process in the vegetable market.
Dr Hassan Waqar Cheema emphasized that the administration, under the special directives of the Chief Minister of Punjab, was taking concrete steps to ensure the provision of food items to the people at subsidized rates.
He noted that the prices in the Rawalpindi vegetable market were lower compared to the Islamabad market, which indicated positive progress.
Hassan Waqar Cheema reiterated that all possible measures were being undertaken for the convenience of the people.
Later, he visited the model Ramazan Bazaar set up at Chor Harpal, Rawalpindi, aimed at facilitating the citizens during the holy month of Ramazan.
During his visit, the DC thoroughly reviewed the sale process for the items in the Ramazan Bazaar.
He highlighted that the administration had taken proactive steps to ensure the sale of subsidized items in the model Sasta Ramazan Bazaar.
According to the vision of the Chief Minister of Punjab, a model Ramazan Bazaar had been established to provide relief to the public, especially during Ramazan ul Mubarak.
Dr Hassan Waqar Cheema informed that subsidies had been provided on various items, including vegetables, fruits, and pulses, in the Model Ramazan Bazaar, aligning with the government’s efforts to alleviate the financial burden on the citizens.
