Quetta: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kohlu, Aqeel Karim Baloch, announced on Wednesday that the salaries of more than two dozen teachers were deducted after they were found absent from their duties in the area.
Notices were also issued to these absent teachers across the district, particularly in Kahan Tehsil, for neglecting their responsibilities.
The DC stated that, following the decisions made in the District Education Group meeting, the salaries of absent teaching and non-teaching staff from government educational institutions have been deducted.
Additionally, these employees have been required to provide explanations for their absences.
He warned that if the explanations provided are not satisfactory, further departmental actions, including potential dismissal, would be taken against the absentee employees.
Ensuring the proper functioning of all educational institutions across the district is a top priority, with a focus on reactivating inactive schools and maintaining the continuity of the education system, he emphasized. He added that departmental actions against absent teaching staff have been intensified.
