Peshawar: The Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa has released a list detailing female individuals allegedly involved in various terrorist activities within the province since 2014.

The list identifies 30 females engaged in acts of terrorism: 13 connected to kidnapping, two to extortion, and three each associated with target killings and terror financing.

CTD DIG Imran Shahid said intelligence and law enforcement agencies were facing challenges in apprehending these female terrorists. He mentioned that cultural and traditional values, coupled with a lack of relevant connections or sources linked to these individuals, have posed significant hurdles to their arrest.

Cases against these female terrorists have been registered across different police stations. Legal proceedings are underway in various courts for several of these cases.

The document disclosed that 18 females have terrorism-related cases registered against them in Peshawar’s police stations. Of these, nine females have been acquitted, while the cases of the others remain pending in court.
