CTD Officials’ Psychological Surveys

Islamabad: In a proactive step, Islamabad police initiated a psychological survey among Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) officials.

Directed by Islamabad Capital City Police Officer (ICCPO), Dr Akbar Nasir Khan, the survey involved 489 officers and officials. Completed within a month, it highlighted that 33 officials were grappling with depression, while four were recommended for counseling.

To address mental health concerns, the CTD administered a written exam based on global standards to gauge the psychological well-being of its staff. Immediate treatment facilities were promptly arranged for officers experiencing mental stress.

In response to the survey, the department repositioned officers facing difficulties to less challenging roles. Additionally, two officials with specific issues were compassionately transferred to hospitals.

The Islamabad police stressed their steadfast dedication to prioritizing the welfare and enhancement of police officers.
