Crowd-Pleasing Beef Lasagna: A Family Dinner Favorite

Islamabad: This hearty and satisfying Beef Lasagna recipe is a guaranteed crowd-pleaser. 

Layers of savory meat sauce, creamy ricotta cheese, and melty mozzarella cheese are sandwiched between tender lasagna noodles, creating a truly delicious and comforting dish. Perfect for a family dinner or feeding a hungry crowd, this recipe is easy to follow and delivers restaurant-quality results at home.

Ingredients for Boiled Lasagna Sheets

  • Water as required
  • 1 tsp salt
  • Lasagna sheets as required
  • Ingredients for White Sauce
  • 1/4 cup Nestlé MilkPak Salted Dairy Butter
  • 1 tbsp garlic (minced)
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups Nestlé MilkPak Full Cream Milk
  • 1 tsp black pepper powder
  • 3/4 cup Nestlé MilkPak Dairy Cream
  • Ingredients for Ragu
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 1 tbsp garlic (minced)
  • 1 cup onion (chopped)
  • 1 kg beef mince
  • 2 cups tomatoes (chopped)
  • 1 tbsp red chili flakes
  • 1 tsp black pepper powder
  • 1 tbsp mixed herbs
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup tomato paste

Ingredients for Assembling

  • White sauce as required
  • Boiled lasagna sheets as required
  • Ragu as required
  • Mozzarella cheese as required
  • Oregano as required
  • Red chili flakes as required

Directions

Boiling Lasagna Sheets:

In a pot, heat water, add salt, and bring it to a boil. Add lasagna sheets and boil until 80% done. Strain and set aside.

Making White Sauce:

In a pan, heat Nestlé MilkPak Salted Dairy Butter and garlic, and cook for a minute.

Add flour and cook for 1-2 minutes.

Add Nestlé MilkPak Full Cream Milk and cook for 2-3 minutes.

Add salt, and black pepper powder, and mix well. Add Nestlé MilkPak Dairy Cream and cook until thickened. Set aside.

Preparing Ragu:

In a pan, heat oil and add garlic. Cook for a minute.

Add onion and cook until translucent. Add beef mince and cook until beef changes color.

Add tomatoes, red chili flakes, black pepper powder, mixed herbs, salt, and tomato paste. Cook until beef mince is fully done. Set aside.

Assembling the Lasagna:

In a lasagna dish, add layers in the following order: white sauce, ragu, mozzarella cheese, lasagna sheets, white sauce, ragu, mozzarella cheese, lasagna sheets, white sauce, ragu, and mozzarella cheese.

Sprinkle oregano and red chili flakes on top.

Baking:

Bake in a preheated oven at 160°C (320°F) for 25-30 minutes.
