Cricket Fans Anticipating PSL-8 Matches in Pindi

Islamabad: The HBL Pakistan Super League (PSL) 8 will start at Pindi Stadium, which will host 14 of the tournament’s games from March 1 to March 12, cricket fans in the twin cities of Islamabad and Rawalpindi will have plenty to rejoice.

The Pakistan Super League 8 will be played across four venues from February 13 to March 19. Multan and Karachi will host matches from February 13 to February 26 before the action shifts to Lahore and Rawalpindi, where 20 matches will be played from February 26 to March 19.

The first match will be played in Multan between the defending champions Lahore Qalandars and the Multan Sultans. The Rawalpindi cricket matches will begin on March 1 with the 17th game of the league, with Peshawar Zami taking on Karachi Kings.

Rawalpindi matches schedule -March 2: Lahore Qalandars vs Quetta Gladiators; March 3: Islamabad United vs Karachi Kings; March 5: Islamabad United vs Quetta Gladiators; March 6: Quetta Gladiators vs Karachi Kings; March 7: Peshawar Zalmi vs Lahore Qalandars and Islamabad United vs Multan Sultans; March 8: Women Exhibition match & Peshawar Zalmi vs Quetta Gladiators; March 9: Islamabad United vs Lahore Qalandars; March 10: Women Exhibition match & Peshawar Zalmi vs Multan Sultans; March 11: Women Exhibition match & Quetta Gladiators vs Multan Sultans; March 12: Islamabad United vs Peshawar Zalmi.

The enthusiastic supporters didn’t hold back while discussing their favourite teams because they were so fired up about the games. “I’m eager for my favourite team to play at Pindi and I hope to see all of Islamabad United’s games,” said an Islamabad United supporterAqeel Khan.

Subhan Ahmed said,“I enjoy watching Peshawar Zalmi compete. I’m rooting for them and hoping they win the league again.”

In the meantime, the federal government has given all participating teams, match officials, foreign dignitaries, commentators, and production staff the status of state guests as well as VIP status.

The police have been instructed to take all reasonable security precautions because it will be a high-profile event with participation from international cricket players, match officials, foreign dignitaries, security consultants, broadcasters, and media people.

The foreign guests, including players, will be provided top-level security during their stay and movements between the airport, hotels and the stadium in coordination with intelligence agencies, Pakistan Army and Rangers.

All trucks, buses, and other vehicles entering Rawalpindi, Lahore, and Multan will undergo a comprehensive inspection. Workshops, gas stations, bus stops, bus and truck addas, parking stands, public parking lots, parking plazas, and other similar locations will all be thoroughly screened.
