Court Grants Two-Day Remand Of Youtuber Ducky Bhai

Islamabad: A Lahore district court on Wednesday granted a two-day physical remand of YouTuber Saad ur Rehman, widely known as Ducky Bhai, in a case related to the promotion of gambling applications through his videos.
The social media star was taken into custody in August by the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) at Lahore Airport while allegedly attempting to leave the country. His name was subsequently placed on the Provisional National Identification List (PNIL).
During the hearing, which began 10 minutes late, defence counsel Usman Mushtaq informed the court that his client wished to speak. Addressing the judge, Ducky Bhai said he was satisfied with the investigation so far, expressed respect for state institutions, and raised no objection to further inquiries.
The investigating officer had sought a five-day remand to recover digital devices and gain access to the suspect’s social media accounts. The court, however, approved only two days and directed authorities to produce him again on September 5.

The arrest followed an FIR lodged by NCCIA under the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act, 2016, as well as relevant provisions of the Pakistan Penal Code (PPC). The case, registered on August 17, invokes PECA sections 13 (Electronic Forgery), 14 (Electronic Fraud), 25 (Spamming), and 26 (Spoofing), along with PPC sections 294-B (Offering prize in connection with trade) and 420 (Cheating and dishonestly inducing delivery of property).
According to the FIR, the YouTuber promoted gambling and betting apps that allegedly defrauded users of millions of rupees.
This is not the first time Ducky Bhai has faced controversy. Earlier this year, he secured protective bail from the Lahore High Court in a reckless driving case after a video showed him speeding on a motorway with his feet on the steering wheel, apparently asleep while the car was on cruise control.
The stunt drew widespread criticism online, prompting the National Highways and Motorway Police (NHMP) to register a case and later release an awareness video warning citizens against such dangerous acts.
