Cop Assaults Woman in Lahore, Fires Shots to Escape Arrest

Lahore: A police officer was caught red-handed sexually assaulting a beggar woman in the Manawan area, an eyewitness captured video revealed on Sunday.

According to eyewitnesses, a citizen attempted to record the incident on video, prompting the officer to open fire. The victim sustained a gunshot wound to her leg during the attack.

The suspect managed to flee the scene following the shooting. 

Videos obtained by journalist Waseem Sabir reportedly show the officer taking the woman to a secluded area before committing the crime.

Authorities have launched an investigation, and efforts are underway to apprehend the suspect.

Constable Held for Recording Indecent Video of Woman

A police constable has been arrested for allegedly recording an indecent video of a woman in the Raiwind area, authorities confirmed on Friday.

According to police officials, Constable Arsalan, affiliated with the Anti-Riot Force, is the prime suspect. Reports indicate that he, along with three other policemen, allegedly tortured two women a few days ago and filmed an explicit video of one of them.

The other three accused have already been taken into custody. Police further revealed that the case, registered at Raiwind police station, includes charges of gang rape, among other serious offenses.

Authorities have assured that a thorough investigation is underway to ensure justice is served.

Police Rescue 14-Year-Old Girl from Traffickers

Police in Dera Ghazi Khan foiled a human trafficking attempt and rescued a 14-year-old girl from captivity.

A police team raided Basti Jandani and recovered the girl, identified as Tahmina Bibi. Investigations revealed that her father and uncle had allegedly sold her, and the buyers had detained her.

A case has been registered against the suspects under the Human Trafficking Act 2018 and other relevant laws. Further investigations are underway to uncover all aspects of the crime. The operation was led by Gadai Police Station.

District Police Officer (DPO) Syed Ali stated that no leniency would be shown to those involved in such heinous crimes. He commended DSP City Irfan Akbar, SHO Gadai Ali Imran, and their team for successfully executing the operation.
