Commissioner Visits BBH To Inspect Treatment Facilities
News Desk
Rawalpindi: Commissioner Rawalpindi Liaqat Ali Chatha on Wednesday visited the Benazir Bhutto Hospital (BBH) and reviewed the medical facilities provided to the patients. While interacting with the patients and their attendants, he inquired about the treatment facilities provided to them at the hospital.
Liaqat Ali Chatta also visited the dengue ward and said that a healthy atmosphere and preventive measures are the only ways to prevent such terrible diseases as dengue. Despite the district administration’s aggressive efforts to combat dengue, Commissioner Ali claimed that the campaign would not be successful without the support of the general public.
Liaqat Ali directed the management of the BBH to ensure cleanliness arrangements in the hospital, adequate seating, and clean drinking water for the patients and their attendants. He also directed that medicines be available in sufficient quantities at the hospitals.
Followup on Chief Minister Naqvi’s surprise visit to BBH
Earlier, the Caretaker Chief Minister of Punjab Mohsin Naqvi had made an unannounced visit to BBH last night and complained about the hospital’s subpar accommodations. During his visit, The CM carefully inspected various areas of the hospital and discovered that numerous wards’ air conditioners were turned off and the hospital’s X-ray facility was also missing.
Mohsin Naqvi voiced displeasure about the treatment of patients on stretchers in the hallways, where several physicians and staff members were also discovered to be missing from their jobs.
In this particular instance, patients complained to the Caretaker CM that they had to purchase their medications outside of the hospital since they were not available there. CM Naqvi assured the complainants that their concerns would be resolved and stern action would be taken against the negligent staff.
