Cold Winds, Dry Conditions Forecast Across Pakistan

Islamabad: The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast mainly cold and dry weather across most parts of the country on Saturday, with very cold conditions expected in hilly areas during morning and night hours.
According to the PMD, Islamabad and adjoining areas are likely to experience cold and dry weather, while gusty winds may blow during the daytime.
In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, cold and dry weather is expected in most districts, whereas very cold conditions will persist in hilly areas during early morning and night hours.
Punjab will also remain cold and dry across most areas, while very cold weather is likely in Murree, Galiyat, and adjoining regions. Shallow to moderate fog may develop in patches in Sheikhupura, Narowal, Sialkot, and nearby areas during the early morning.

In Sindh, dry weather is expected in most districts, with cold conditions during morning and night. Balochistan is also likely to experience cold and dry weather across most parts of the province, while northern districts may remain very cold.
In Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan, cold and partly cloudy weather is expected.
The PMD said that during the past 24 hours, cold and dry weather prevailed over most parts of the country, with very cold conditions recorded in upper hilly areas. However, partly cloudy weather with rainfall occurred at isolated places in upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and northern Balochistan.
The highest rainfall during the period was recorded in Parachinar (24 mm), followed by Kalam (20 mm), Upper Dir (17 mm), Chitral (11 mm), Mir Khani and Drosh (9 mm each), Malam Jabba (8 mm), Pattan (5 mm), and Kakul and Balakot (1 mm each).
The lowest minimum temperatures recorded on Friday included Leh at minus 12 degrees Celsius, Astore at minus 8 degrees Celsius, and Kalam and Skardu at minus 4 degrees Celsius.
