Cold Weather With Isolated Rain Predicted in KP

Peshawar: The Regional Meteorological Centre (RMC) in Peshawar predicted on Friday that very cold and dry weather is likely to occur in most districts of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (KP).
However, it said that isolated light rain (light snowfall over the hills) is likely to occur in Bajaur, Chitral, Upper Dir, Swat, Shangla, Kohistan, Mansehra, and Abbottabad districts.
It further said that the prevailing dense foggy condition is likely to continue over Peshawar, Charsadda, Nowshera, Mardan, Karak, Bannu, Lakki Marwat, Swabi, DI Khan, and Tank districts, as well as over the Motorway (M1).
During the last 24 hours, very cold and dry weather prevailed over most districts of the province, while dense foggy conditions prevailed over plain areas.
The maximum and minimum temperatures recorded in centigrade at different stations across Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa were as follows:
- Peshawar: 12°C/04°C
- Chitral: 15°C/-01°C
- Timergara: 16°C/01°C
- Dir: 16°C/-02°C
- Mirkhani: 16°C/00°C
- Kalam: 10°C/-04°C
- Drosh: 12°C/03°C
- Saidu Sharif: 15°C/00°C
- Pattan: 18°C/04°C
- Malam Jabba: 15°C/-01°C
- Takht Bhai: 12°C/02°C
- Kakul: 15°C/01°C
- Balakot: 15°C/02°C
- Parachinar: 12°C/00°C
- Bannu: 13°C/01°C
- Cherat: 12°C/03°C
- DI Khan City: 10°C/04°C
These temperature readings provide a snapshot of the varying weather conditions across different regions of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The lowest temperature recorded in the province was -04 in Kalam.
