Cold, Dry Weather Forecast for Most Parts of the Country: PMD

Islamabad: The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has predicted cold and dry weather for most regions of the country during the next 24 hours.
However, light rain and snowfall over mountainous areas are expected in Gilgit-Baltistan.
According to the PMD, continental air is dominating over most areas, contributing to the prevailing dry conditions. Smog and fog are likely to appear in isolated plains of Punjab during the morning and night hours.
During the past 24 hours, dry weather persisted across much of the country, while hilly areas experienced colder conditions. Smoggy and foggy patches were reported in select plain regions of Punjab.
The lowest temperatures recorded during this period were: Leh at -7°C, Skardu -5°C, Astore and Gupis -3°C, and Kalam and Gilgit -1°C.
