Islamabad: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi is set to arrive in Karachi on Thursday for a three-day visit aimed at expanding PTI’s street-level political mobilisation in Sindh, party officials said.

According to PTI KP Deputy Information Secretary Ikram Khattak, the visit will mark the formal launch of a street movement in Karachi and Hyderabad, as the party seeks to re-energise its grassroots support base in the province.

Soon after his arrival, Afridi is scheduled to visit the Karachi Press Club, where he will hold meetings with lawyers, media representatives and political figures, signalling the party’s intent to engage key opinion-makers alongside public mobilisation.

On January 10, the chief minister will lead a rally from Karachi to Hyderabad, addressing bar associations, press clubs and other stakeholders along the route.

The programme also includes a visit to Mazar-e-Quaid, interactions with youth groups and multiple media engagements, highlighting PTI’s outreach efforts beyond its traditional strongholds.

During the visit, Afridi will spearhead street activities in several districts of Sindh and is also expected to hold a meeting with Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah. He is scheduled to meet members of the Sindh High Court Bar before returning to Peshawar.

Party officials said the visit is part of a broader strategy to strengthen PTI’s organisational presence in Sindh and demonstrate public engagement through street politics, as the party looks to revive momentum at the grassroots level.
