Cloudy Weather, Isolated Rains Expected In KP: PM

Peshawar/Bahawalpur: The Provincial Meteorological Centre (PMC) in Peshawar projected cloudy and humid weather in most districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Friday. Meanwhile, the local Met Office has forecast partly cloudy to cloudy weather with chances of rain for Bahawalpur over the next 24 hours.

PMC further said that isolated rain and wind-thundershowers with a few heavy falls are expected in Abbottabad, Mansehra, Haripur, Battagram, Torghar, Kohistan, Shangla, Chitral, Lower & Upper Dir, Swat, Buner, Malakand, Bajaur, Mohmand, Mardan, Swabi, Nowshera, Charsadda, Peshawar, Khyber, Kohat, Hangu, Karak, Orakzai, Kurram, Bannu, LakkiMarwat, Tank, D. I. Khan, and North & South Waziristan districts.

During the last 24 hours, humid and partly cloudy weather occurred over most districts of the province. However, rain, wind, and thunderstorms occurred at scattered places in the province.Rain recorded (in mm):

The highest temperatures recorded in the province were 38°C in Drosh and 37°C in Peshawar city.

Rain forecast for city: The highest maximum temperature of 34°C and the lowest minimum temperature of 27°C were recorded during the last 24 hours. Partly cloudy to cloudy weather with chances of rain has also been forecast for the rest of the region.
