Cloudy Weather, Isolated Rain Forecasted For Most KP

Peshawar/Sargodha: The Provincial Meteorological Center (PMC) Peshawar forecasted that most districts of the KP would experience partly cloudy to cloudy weather.

Meanwhile, the local Met Office predicted light to heavy rain in Sargodha division during the next 24 hours.

PMC stated that widespread rain and thundershower with gusty winds (with scattered heavy falls/hailstorms) is likely to occur in Tank, D I Khan, North & South Waziristan, Bannu, Lakki Marwat, Kohat, Karak, Hangu, Orakzai, Kurram, Khyber, Mohmand, Bajaur and Upper Dir districts.

Scattered rain and thunderstorm with gusty winds (with isolated heavy falls/ hailstorm) is likely to occur in Peshawar, Charsadda, Nowshera, Mardan, Swabi, Haripur, Abbottabad, Mansehra, Torghar, Battagram, Kohistan, Shangla, Swat, Buner, Malakand, Lower Dir and Chitral districts.

During the last 24 hours, partly cloudy to cloudy weather occurred over most districts of the province. However, rain-thunderstorm occurred over Kurram, Bajaur, Swat, Buner, Dir, Kohat and Chitral districts. Rain recorded (in mm): Parachinar 20, Pashat (Bajaur) 20, Saidu Sharif 04, Buner 02, Dir 01, Chitral, D I Khan and Kohat Trace (each). The maximum and minimum temperatures recorded at different stations:

The minimum temperature recorded in the province was -02°C in Kalam.

Rain forecast in Sargodha

Tuesday’s precipitation made the weather agreeable, causing crowds to flock to the city’s parks. Moreover, people were spotted in fast food, samosa, and barbecue restaurants. The Met Office cautioned farmers not to water the wheat crop as the rain might cause damage to the crop.
