Clapbacks and Comebacks: Stars Speak Out on India’s Ban
News Desk
Islamabad: India’s ban on Pakistani media and artists has made major headlines following a controversial incident in Pahalgam. The ban was implemented after India accused Pakistan of orchestrating what was later revealed to be a false flag operation.
In the incident, unidentified individuals killed Indian tourists within Indian territory, and the Indian government initially placed the blame on Pakistan. However, an Indian Army General later admitted that the attack had been staged by India as part of a pre-planned operation.
In the wake of the revelation, Indian authorities swiftly cancelled the participation of Pakistani artists in upcoming projects. This included halting the release of films featuring actors like Fawad Khan and Hania Aamir. While a few Pakistani artists initially showed support for India, the majority of Pakistan’s entertainment industry voiced their disapproval of the ban.
Recently, many prominent Pakistani celebrities—including Hina Altaf, Imran Abbas, Yasir Hussain, Mishi Khan, Aijaz Aslam, and Mashal Khan—have publicly mocked and ridiculed India’s decision, turning the ban into a subject of widespread criticism and satire.
