Chinese Students Drawn To Pakistani Truck Art Exhibition

Beijing: The first truck art exhibition opened in Langfang, China, to celebrate Pakistan’s 83rd National Day and 2023 as the China-Pakistan Year of Tourism Exchanges. It showcases Pakistan’s diverse cultural landscape and has attracted a large number of Chinese students.
“A special truck art workshop conducted by artist Ali and his team in the Silk Road International Cultural Centre Dozens of Chinese students enthusiastically participated to learn about this dazzling and colourful Pakistani art,”said Pakistan’s Ambassador to China Moinul Haque.
The exhibition, which will continue till July 24, is organised by the Pakistan Embassy in Beijing in collaboration with the Silk Road International Art Centre in Langfang and renowned truck artist enterprise Phool Patti.
A specially-designed truck model and other items ranging from bicycles, murals, clothes, fans, and ceramic pots were designed by the Phool Patti team for the exhibition, which would last for three months.
Phool Patti team leader Ali Salman Anchan would also hold special live workshops with his team for the visitors to the exhibition.
Termed as ‘Art on Wheels’ by many, this artistic expression embodies joy, optimism, appreciation for the stunning features of nature, and a good outlook on life.
The exhibition, which is a component of a cultural exchange project between the two countries, includes a number of specially commissioned pieces, large-scale site-specific pieces, live performances, and educational programmes.
