Islamabad: Chairman of China Import Export Bank Lauded Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif as ‘Pakistan Speed’
During a recent meeting with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, the Chairman of the China Import Export Bank praised the Prime Minister’s efforts, coining the term ‘Pakistan Speed’ in recognition of the rapid progress similar to the previously noted ‘Punjab Speed.’
Prime Minister Sharif highlighted ongoing initiatives to enhance governance, broaden the tax net, and improve the ease of doing business in Pakistan.
On his visit to China’s Science and Technology Park, the Prime Minister emphasized Pakistan’s potential to benefit from China’s advancements in science and technology.
He was briefed on China’s thriving tech start-up culture, cutting-edge research, and modern work environment.
In a meeting with the Chairman of Power China, Prime Minister Sharif underscored the importance of strengthening Pakistan’s alternative energy system, noting significant investment opportunities in this sector.
The Chairman commended the swift construction and high quality of the Sahiwal Coal Power Plant. Additionally, the Prime Minister extended an invitation to the Chairman of China Northern Industry to invest in the Karachi Circular Railway project.
The Prime Minister also met with the Chairman of the China International Development Cooperation Agency, where he invited investment in the ML One Upgradation Project.
