Chatha Commends Sanitation Workers for Frontline Efforts

Rawalpindi: Commissioner Rawalpindi Division, Liaqat Ali Chatha, on Thursday, acknowledged the dedicated efforts of sanitation workers, emphasizing their frontline role in all weather conditions, including hot or cold temperatures, during the Covid-19 epidemic, dengue outbreaks, smog, rain, or snow.
Chatha also distributed warm uniforms, jackets, and shoes among the workers of Rawalpindi Waste Management Company (RWMC).
During the event, Chatha highlighted the unwavering commitment of sanitation workers who tirelessly perform cleaning duties regardless of the challenges. He noted their dedication during holidays, emphasizing that they never cease working even on Eid days.
Chatha commended RWMC workers for maintaining the city’s cleanliness despite severe cold, smog, and fog.
CEO of RWMC, Rana Sajid Safdar, attributed the company’s recognition to the hard work of these dedicated workers. He highlighted the provision of warm uniforms, jackets, and shoes as a measure to protect them from adverse weather conditions.
Safdar expressed the company’s appreciation for the workers, emphasizing that their efforts contribute to the positive reputation of RWMC. He urged residents to cooperate with RWMC staff by disposing of garbage in the designated dustbins placed in every Union Council of the city.
