Islamabad: Chairman CDA Muhammad Ali Randhawa visited the summer camp organized at F-7/4 Model College for Girls on Saturday and met with senior officers from the Ministry of Education and other departments.

Randhawa announced the establishment of a state-of-the-art autism center in the city to support children with autism. A suitable location will be identified, and land will be allotted for the center.

A technical committee, consisting of students from the summer camp and led by the Principal of Model College for Girls, has been formed to facilitate the establishment of the autism center.

This committee will conduct research based on international models of autism centers, and the students will present their findings to the CDA board. The CDA will then implement these recommendations to finalize the plan.

Randhawa emphasized that involving students in this research aims to foster a research-oriented mindset. He noted that the students’ enthusiasm for research will allow them to showcase their skills effectively, thereby cultivating a habit of research among children.

He highlighted the urgent need for an autism center in Islamabad to ensure that children with autism can contribute to the nation’s development like their peers.

Randhawa also commended the Federal Education initiative for organizing the summer camp and delivered a motivational lecture to the participants.
