Islamabad: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) is planning to establish an Adventure City Park in Islamabad, aiming to create one of the premier tourist destinations in the federal capital.

The proposal was discussed during a meeting held on Friday at the CDA Headquarters, chaired by Federal Secretary Interior Muhammad Khurram Agha. The meeting was attended by CDA Chairman Muhammad Ali Randhawa, Member Environment, and other senior officials of the authority.

According to the briefing, the park will be developed at a suitable location in the capital and is envisioned to significantly enhance tourism in the region. The CDA reiterated that promoting tourism remains a top priority and that all necessary resources are being allocated to this project.

The proposed Adventure City Park will feature walkways, cycling tracks, and modern recreational infrastructure with a focus on environmental sustainability. It will also include visually appealing soft landscaping and eco-friendly tree plantation to enhance Islamabad’s natural beauty.

Chairman CDA Muhammad Ali Randhawa emphasized the development of a comprehensive strategy to ensure the project meets world-class tourism standards. The park is expected to host national and international food chains, cultural and social services, and a variety of tourism-related amenities—all in one integrated space.

He added that financially and operationally viable models will be adopted for the project. He also directed the installation of a Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) to ensure environmental compliance and sustainability.

The Chairman affirmed that the Adventure City Park will be equipped with state-of-the-art facilities to elevate Islamabad’s profile as a global tourist hotspot.

In his concluding remarks, Randhawa reiterated CDA’s commitment to developing Islamabad as a modern, tourism-friendly city with high-quality recreational facilities. He vowed to make every effort to position the capital among the world’s most beautiful and tourist-attractive capitals.
