CDA Honors Sanitary Workers with Bonus for Eid Service

Islamabad: Chairman of the Capital Development Authority (CDA), Mohammad Ali Randhawa, organized a reception to honor sanitary workers who diligently served during Eid-ul-Azha, following the directives of Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi.

He announced a bonus of one month’s basic salary for CDA workers who performed exemplary sanitation duties during the Eid holidays in Islamabad.

Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, in his message, congratulated and encouraged the sanitary workers for the success of the Zero Waste City operation during Eid-ul-Azha.

He emphasized that Islamabad achieved the distinction of being the cleanest city due to the excellent communication and mutual cooperation among all departments, citizens, employees, and officers.

He assured that efforts of the city’s workforce would be recognized and encouraged at all levels.

The reception was attended by Chairman CDA Mohammad Ali Randhawa, IG Islamabad Police, Deputy Commissioner Islamabad, other officers, and a large number of sanitary workers who served during Eid-ul-Azha.

The workers expressed their gratitude to the Federal Interior Minister for his encouragement and for the opportunity to sit alongside their officers for the first time.

In his address, Mohammad Ali Randhawa praised the dedication and zeal of all officers and sanitary workers.

 “I salute our heroes for making the Islamabad Zero Waste City operation a success,” he said, adding, “May Allah honor us all, and may Islamabad emerge as a unified entity.”

He highlighted that the Prime Minister of Pakistan had congratulated everyone for their hard work for the first time, acknowledging that the prestige of Islamabad had increased because of the sanitary workers.

He also mentioned that development work continued even during Eid-ul-Azha, restoring the citizens’ confidence in the institution.

The successful setup of a control room at Safe City and the introduction of biodegradable bags were key to the operation’s success.

Deputy Commissioner Islamabad, Irfan Memon, commended the historic acknowledgment of the sanitary workers’ services at a high level.

IG Islamabad also congratulated the Chairman CDA and Chief Commissioner for bringing these unsung heroes into the spotlight.

He praised the workers for their relentless efforts, working day and night without celebrating with their families to keep the city clean during Eid.

“I salute these workers and their families on behalf of Islamabad Police,” said IG Islamabad.
