CDA-FCDO Collaborate To Modernise Islamabad

Islamabad: Capital Development Authority (CDA) Chairman Mohammad Ali Randhawa met with Foreign, Commonwealth, and Development Office (FCDO) British High Commission Development Director Joe Mayur and his delegation on Tuesday to transform Islamabad into a modern city through various initiatives and discuss potential areas of cooperation for Islamabad’s development.

The meeting approved technical assistance for obtaining carbon credits and the formation of a joint working group to improve cooperation and set long-term goals. Both parties agreed to digitise property tax collection to enhance efficiency and transparency.

CDA briefed the delegation on proposed projects to modernise Islamabad, including digitising infrastructure and services, large-scale plantations to increase green cover, digital parking management, and digital billboards for outdoor advertising.

Mohammad Ali Randhawa emphasised the importance of collaboration for sustainable and efficient projects to modernise and advance Islamabad.

The joint working group will establish timelines to achieve these goals, paving the way for a transformed Islamabad.
