CDA Action Against Illegal Housing Societies in Zone 4
News Desk
Islamabad: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) administration is actively carrying out an operation against unauthorized housing societies in Zone 4 of Islamabad.
Administrative offices established for the management and promotion of these illegal societies are being sealed as part of this crackdown.
Notably, the administrative offices of Rawal Enclave, an illegal housing scheme, have been shut down.
This action against Rawal Enclave is due to its unlawful practices of buying and selling plots, which violate the provisions of the CDA Ordinance 1960, ICT Zoning Regulation 1992, and ICT Building Control Regulation 2020.
The CDA management has consistently cautioned the public against investing in such illegal housing schemes through newspaper advertisements.
They urge individuals to verify whether the sponsor of a society has obtained a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the CDA after meeting all necessary conditions before making any investments.
Furthermore, citizens can access the latest status of housing societies and details of approved layout plans on the Capital Development Authority’s website at www.cda.gov.pk.
Additionally, the CDA administration is taking legal action against the owners of illegal housing societies under various ordinances, including CDA Ordinance MLR 63, MLR 82, and the Environmental Protection Act 2008, which encompasses the Landscape Ordinance 5/4.
