Cash Gift for Newlyweds ‘Dhee Ranies’

Layyah: Under the Chief Minister’s “Dhee Rani” Programme, newlywed couples in Punjab with low incomes are set to receive a cash wedding gift of Rs 100,000, provided via ATM cards.

The programme, which aims to support economically disadvantaged families, also offers additional wedding gifts, including furniture, dresses, and dinner sets to eligible couples.

During a programme meeting, Assistant Commissioner Layyah announced that 180 applications had been received so far, with registration open until November 15.

The session, attended by Deputy Director of Social Welfare Mukhdoom Javed Abbas and other officials, focused on the eligibility criteria and application process for this initiative.
