Peshawar: Nomination papers continue to pour in for Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa’s upcoming general elections as candidates vie for 13 provincial and five national assembly seats.
The Election Commission reported a substantial influx, with over 250 papers received for the five National Assembly seats. Specifically, 58 candidates from the region have submitted papers for these National Assembly seats, while more than 700 papers are anticipated for the thirteen provincial seats.

The Provincial Election Commission affirmed the collection of over 170 papers for Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa seats and noted that 70 candidates have submitted papers for the National Assembly seats designated for women in the region.
Currently, the count stands at 229 candidates who have filed papers for these reserved seats for women in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, according to an Election Commission official.
