Ingredients

For Chicken Marination

  • Chicken thigh pieces – 4–5
  • Chili sauce – 2 tbsp
  • Soy sauce – 1 tbsp
  • Red chili powder – 1 tbsp
  • Garlic powder – 1 tsp
  • Salt – 1 tsp
  • Optional: Mustard paste – 1 tsp (adds extra flavor)

For Flour Batter

  • All-purpose flour – 2 cups
  • Red chili powder – 1 tbsp
  • Salt – 1 tsp
  • Water – as required (to make a thick batter)

For Crispy Coating

  • Marinated chicken
  • Prepared flour batter
  • All-purpose flour – as required (for dry coating)
  • Chilled water – as needed
  • Oil – for deep frying

For Assembling the Burger

  • Burger buns (toasted) – as required
  • Lettuce leaves – as required

Directions

  1. Marinate the Chicken:
    In a bowl, combine chicken thigh pieces, chili sauce, soy sauce, red chili powder, garlic powder, salt, and mustard paste. Mix well and let it rest for 30 minutes.
  2. Prepare the Flour Batter:
    In another bowl, mix flour, red chili powder, salt, and enough water to form a smooth, thick batter.
  3. Coat the Chicken:

    • Dip each piece quickly into chilled water for 2 seconds.
