London: India Champions secured a place in the semi-finals of the World Championship of Legends (WCL) 2025 with a dominant run chase against West Indies Champions, finishing the match in just 13.2 overs and booking a high-voltage semi-final clash with arch-rivals Pakistan Champions.

Chasing a target of 145, India needed to reach the total within 14.1 overs to stay in the tournament — and they delivered in style, reaching the mark with five balls to spare.

Stuart Binny anchored the chase with a solid half-century, while quickfire cameos from skipper Yuvraj Singh and power-hitter Yusuf Pathan ensured India crossed the line comfortably. Their explosive batting display made light work of a target that had seemed challenging at one stage.

Earlier, West Indies Champions had found themselves in deep trouble at 43/5, but a blistering knock from Kieron Pollard, who hammered 74 runs with eight sixes, gave the Caribbean side a fighting total of 144/9. Despite Pollard’s heroics, the lack of support from the rest of the batting lineup proved costly.

The result sees India Champions finish fourth on the points table, just enough to advance to the semi-finals, where they will now face table-toppers Pakistan Champions in a highly anticipated encounter.

The India-Pakistan clash promises to be a marquee matchup in the tournament, reigniting one of cricket’s fiercest rivalries on the legends’ stage.
