iPhone 16 Pro to Get Biggest Battery Upgrade Yet
News Desk
Cupertino: Apple’s upcoming iPhone 16 Pro is expected to receive its largest battery upgrade to date, according to fresh leaks circulating online.
A post by tipster Instant Digital on Weibo claims the iPhone 16 Pro will feature a 3,577mAh battery — up from the 3,274mAh unit in the iPhone 15 Pro — marking a 9.25 percent increase in capacity.
The iPhone 16 Pro Max is also tipped to receive a boost, with battery capacity reportedly rising from 4,422mAh in the iPhone 15 Pro Max to 4,676mAh — an increase of 5.74 percent.
In addition to improved battery life, the Pro models are rumored to undergo a notable design refresh — potentially the most significant in four years. Leaked images shared by tipster Majin Bu suggest the iPhone 16 Pro Max could feature a larger 6.9-inch display, up from the 6.7-inch screen on its predecessor.
Side-by-side comparisons circulating online indicate that the new Pro Max variant may have a visibly larger footprint.
Meanwhile, the standard iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus models are expected to retain their existing display sizes of 6.1 inches and 6.7 inches, respectively.
Apple has not officially confirmed the specifications or launch date of the new lineup. However, the iPhone 16 series is widely anticipated to be unveiled in September, likely during the first or second week of the month, in line with the company’s traditional release schedule.
