BCB requests Pakistan to play T20 World Cup match against India

Islamabad: The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has requested Pakistan to play its ICC T20 World Cup match against India scheduled for February 15, citing the broader benefit of the global cricket ecosystem.

The request was made by BCB President Md Aminul Islam following his recent visit to Pakistan, according to a BCB media release issued on Monday.

The release said the BCB expressed its appreciation to the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), the International Cricket Council (ICC), and other stakeholders for their constructive role in addressing recent challenges.

The BCB also conveyed its gratitude to PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi, his Board, and Pakistani cricket fans for demonstrating exemplary sportsmanship and solidarity.

“We are deeply moved by Pakistan’s efforts to go above and beyond in supporting Bangladesh during this period. Long may our brotherhood flourish,” Aminul Islam said.
