Balochistan Reports New Polio Case

Islamabad: The polio virus has been confirmed in a one-and-a-half-year-old child from Union Council Hasanzai Urban-II in district, Balochistan.
This recent case has increased the total number of polio cases in Pakistan for the year to nine.
Dr Malik Mukhtar, the PM Coordinator for Health, reported that nine children have been affected by the polio virus nationwide this year.
Ayesha Raza, the focal person for the anti-polio campaign, emphasized that multiple doses of the polio vaccine remain the most effective method for preventing the disease.
Muhammad Anwarul Haque, Coordinator of the National Emergency Operations Center, highlighted that six anti-polio campaigns have been conducted so far this year.
Various strategies are being implemented to ensure the safety of children and curb the spread of the virus.
