People Considered Me Bad Influence At Start Of Career: Sushmita Sen

Islamabad: Former ‘Miss India’ Sushmita Sen has revealed that at the beginning of her career, there was a common perception regarding her personality that she would leave a bad impression on children and other young people, so she was considered bad and ignored.
Bollywood actress recently revealed in an interview to a showbiz magazine ‘Filmfare’ that people considered her to be a bad influence on others and tried to keep children away from her. Their aim was that the actress could not come in front of other people in any way.
Former ‘Miss Universe’, who is famous for her height and beauty, told that due to such people’s behaviour, she used to keep silent, did not speak and did not have any platform where she could give her opinion.
According to her, the society of 1990s was more narrow-minded as people were not so conscious and there was no concept of freedom of expression at that time.
Describing the modern age as the best, Sen further said that today everyone has social media, everyone can openly express their opinion and no one thinks badly of someone’s lifestyle.
Sushmita started her career with the movie ‘Dastak’ in 1996; till now, she has appeared in around 50 movies. She won many awards, including Filmfare, IIFA, Star Screen, and Zee Cine, for his acting.
Film star won the title of Miss India in 1994, after which she was also elected Miss Universe in the same year.
Although Sushmita is not married, she has adopted two children, first a girl in 2000 and later a boy in 2010.
Her web series ‘Tali’ was released on August 15, in which she plays the role of a transgender person. The web series shows the mistreatment of transgenders in India and how they are not treated as human beings.
