Islamabad: Asim Azhar has raised his voice for the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, who are currently grappling with the devastating aftermath of relentless rains and flash floods. The singer has called on the nation to come together in compassion and solidarity to support relief efforts.

Taking to Instagram, the Jo Tu Na Mila hitmaker expressed his sorrow over the tragedy and urged fans to redirect the same energy they showed on Independence Day toward helping those affected by the disaster.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has been severely impacted by torrential rains and flooding, which have claimed over 325 lives and left widespread destruction in their wake.

“Today, our land weeps,” Asim wrote. “The floods have taken homes, dreams, and precious lives in Pakistan. My heart aches for every mother, father, child, and soul affected. In moments like these, we must become one—one nation, one heart, one hand reaching out to another. Please keep them in your prayers, and if you are able, extend your support to trusted relief efforts. Together, we can help heal what has been broken.”

Floods continue to plague Pakistan year after year, worsened by fragile infrastructure, poor urban planning, and the growing threat of climate change. The current disaster brings back painful memories of the 2022 floods, one of the country’s worst natural calamities, which claimed over 1,700 lives and displaced millions.

Once dubbed the “Justin Bieber of Pakistan,” Asim Azhar rose to fame through YouTube covers before establishing himself with original hits. His big break came with the 2016 Coke Studio duet Tera Woh Pyar alongside Momina Mustehsan. Since then, he has delivered several chart-toppers, including Jo Tu Na Mila, Humraah, and Ghalat Fehmi.

In addition to his music career, Asim has dabbled in acting, appeared in TV dramas, contributed to film soundtracks, and performed internationally. His recent work often reflects personal experiences and emotional depth.

Now 27, Asim has consistently used his platform to speak out during national crises. His recent message is part of a broader call by public figures and civil society for collective action as Pakistan confronts the ongoing fallout of this natural disaster.
