Asif Raza Mir on Working With Sajal Aly After Her Divorce

Islamabad: Veteran actor Asif Raza Mir recently appeared on the YouTube show Gloss Etc hosted by Maliha Rehman, where he discussed his experience working alongside Sajal Aly in the drama Main Manto Nahi Hoon, following her divorce from Ahad Raza Mir.

Addressing the sensitive subject, Asif Raza Mir emphasized the professionalism and maturity both he and Sajal demonstrated throughout the project. “There were questions raised when the casting was finalized, but it was a growing opportunity for both of us, so we accepted the project with professionalism,” he stated.

Playing the role of Sajal’s father in the drama, Asif also acknowledged the courage Sajal showed in continuing her work amid personal challenges. He reflected on the public’s reaction to Sajal and Ahad’s divorce, noting that while fans were saddened, such situations are part of life and can arise for various reasons.

Commenting on the recent viral videos from a Hum Awards event where Ahad and Sajal were seen together, Asif Raza Mir remarked that his family is mature enough not to be affected by such things. “It does not bother us,” he added.With decades of experience in the industry, Asif shared his perspective on relationships and public scrutiny: “People will always talk about former relationships. The important thing is to move forward. Relationships are formed and can end due to certain circumstances, but the key is not to scratch old wounds. That is what we have all done.”
