Arabian Sea Depression Weakens, Winds Reach 50 km/h
News Desk
Karachi: The low-pressure system that formed over the Arabian Sea over a week ago and later developed into a depression has continued to move in a northwesterly direction over the last 12 hours, according to the latest updates from 24NewsHD TV channel on Wednesday.
As of now, the depression is located 1,150 kilometers southwest of Karachi, 830 km southwest of Gwadar, 130 kilometers southeast of Duqm in Oman, 190 kilometers south-southwest of Masirah in Oman, and 490 kilometers northeast of Salalah, also in Oman.
Meteorologists predict that the system is likely to weaken as it continues to move northwest. Winds around the depression are currently blowing at speeds ranging from 30 to 50 kilometers per hour.
Authorities are monitoring the situation closely as the system continues its trajectory, though no significant threat is expected due to the weakening of the depression.
